VetPulse for Shepherd clinics
Cloud PIMS
Shepherd is a modern, cloud-native practice management system, and VetPulse connects to it the same way: directly, over API. There's no CSV export to schedule, no manual upload, and no separate login to check — once you authorize the connection, Shepherd data syncs into VetPulse automatically and stays current.
What syncs automatically
Appointments, invoices, patient records, and provider assignments sync from Shepherd on an ongoing basis. Because the connection is API-based rather than a nightly export job, there's no lag between something happening in Shepherd and VetPulse being able to reason about it — which matters most for the live alert feed, where findings are scored and pushed the moment they happen.
What VetPulse adds on top of Shepherd
Once connected, Shepherd data feeds VetPulse's weekly briefing, live alert feed, and vetPulse chat — a plain-English summary of what happened in your practice last week, real-time findings as they're detected, and a nightly scan that catches unbilled procedures, missed follow-ups, and overdue patients before they cost you money. Clinics running Shepherd are often multi-provider practices, which is exactly where per-vet performance benchmarking tends to surface the most actionable gaps.
